"No song unsung, no wine untasted." That's the philosophy behind Songs at the New World, a monthly open mic night that is back by popular demand this month, starting its 9th season at The Green Room at New World Stages on Friday, April 29th. Described as "a boozy, belting bash," the evening is hosted by Colleen Harris and Lindsay Morgan, with music direction by William TN Hall.

Started in 2007 by Colleen Harris, Songs at the New World has been fostering up-and-coming talent in the heart of the theater district for nine years. Each month, undiscovered talent shares the stage with casts and crews of the shows at New World Stages, as well as composers, Broadway veterans, and musical theater enthusiasts.

Special guests SIREN will perform on 4/29/16 and 5/27/16. This acoustic trio covers songs ranging from Michael Jackson to Hamilton, all with a country twist. "You haven't lived til you've seen SIREN perform" (Next Magazine).

The show runs from 8-11pm. You must be 21 or over to enter. There is no cover charge, but a 2 drink minimum is required.
