 Award-winning journalist José Díaz-Balart has been named full-time anchor of Saturday editions of “NBC Nightly News” effective August 6, making permanent a role he has shared with a rotation of anchors since November 2015. Díaz-Balart will continue to lead his two Telemundo programs, “Noticiero Telemundo” on weeknights and “Enfoque con José Díaz-Balart” on Sunday mornings. He is also a frequent panelist on the “Meet the Press” roundtable.

Growing consumer interest in 'Descendants' stories brings a second season of 'Descendants: Wicked World,' the animated short-form series that has reached over 30 million Total Viewers in the U.S. and has also delivered over 100 million consumer engagements on the Disney Channel app, VOD and YouTube. Discovery Channel US announced today that veteran TV executive Andrew O'Connell has been named Vice President of Development and Production. O'Connell will officially join the network on July 11, based in the United Kingdom, and report directly to Denise Contis, Executive Vice President of Production and Development for Discovery. In this new role, O'Connell will work closely with the UK production community tasked with generating the next factual format hits for the US network. He will also partner with Discovery Network International's Development and Production team.
