Arts on the Horizon has announced its programming for the 2015 - 2016 season, which will reach over 4,000 children and families across the DC metro area. The first company in the United States to solely focus on theatre for children zero to six, Arts on the Horizon's shows are interactive, inclusive, and intimate-adhering to a completely nonverbal performance style making each piece accessible to children whose first language may not be English, children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and children at any stage of language development.

Producing its fourth full season of original work, Arts on the Horizon decided to explore different journeys through its interactive programming for the very young. Founder and producing artistic director, Michelle Kozlak, says, "The idea of a journey, of starting in one place and ending up somewhere else, is one of the first ideas that becomes meaningful to young children. Our season explores the journey in many ways and we think that our Arts on the Horizon audiences and families will be delighted to join us for these imaginative adventures." Inspired by the America on the Move exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, the world premiere of Point A to Point B explores different modes of transportation and creative ways to solve problems. Back by popular demand, Snow Day follows a child's wondrous first experience with snow. Space-Bop, the world premiere of the company's second show for children ages 0-2, voyages to the cosmos through the interplay of light and hip-hop rhythm. The season's journey closes with the return of Blossom's Rainbow, taking children on a vibrant exploration of the Japanese landscape through the magic of taiko music, physical storytelling, and dance.

It's just another day at the Lab, but today's particular assignment has the two employees scratching their heads: a ball keeps appearing from a spot labeled "Point A" and needs to travel to "Point B." The catch is that the ball can never travel the same way twice! As the two co-workers - one a careful scientist, the other an athletic risk-taker - begin to solve the puzzle together, they explore different modes of transportation in new, wonderful, and exciting ways. Journey to the musical cosmos in Arts on the Horizon's world-premiere piece for babies and toddlers, Space-Bop! Drawing on a little one's early love of light and vocal play, Space-Bop takes place under the starry sky of a tent and features a GRAMMY-nominated hip hop artist and beatboxer, a Chaplinesque hero, and the endearing denizens of outer space, like a pinwheel comet and a glowing star. In Arts on the Horizon's signature multi-sensory, nonverbal style, Space-Bop invites our youngest audience to look up at the stars, have a giggle, and dream along with the hip-hop beat.
