Review: CHRISTMAS IN NEVERLAND at The Musical Box Theatre by Sandra Harberger
- November 22, 2025 Get into the holiday spirit with Wendy, Michael, and John as they fly away with Peter Pan and Tickerbell to teach all of Neverland about Christmas. Jules Quintilian’s Peter Pan was confident and exuberant, and of all her song, “Isn’t It Peculiar” was well done. Kristen Demmers’s Tickerbell was sassy and hilarious, and her song “Humbug” with the Pirates was filled with comedic moments. I really enjoyed the Pirate’s “Jolly Christmas.” Pirates singing about Christmas was such blend of themes. Lost Boy’s mash-up of holiday stories in “The Pageant” was really fun to listen to and watch as the Lost Boy’s all seemed to have so much fun as they learned about Christmas.

Review: MASTER CLASS at Roustabouts And Scripps Ranch Theatre by ErinMarie Reiter
- November 22, 2025 'Master Class,' running through December 14 in a co-production between The Roustabouts Theatre Company and Scripps Ranch Theatre, revisits Maria Callas in the final chapter of her performing life; when her voice had faded, yet her fervor for her art had not.
Review: WORKING GIRL at La Jolla Playhouse by Evan Henerson
- November 22, 2025 WORKING GIRL ultimately soars and plummets based on the root-ability quotient of its title character. Singer and author Joanna “JoJo” Levesque can’t really be classified as a discovery. She’s as good as her material, which is solid, tuneful and plenty enjoyable.

Review: A CHRISTMAS STORY at Broadway Palm by Fran Thomas
- November 22, 2025 As a writer, I am filled with admiration for the authors of A Christmas Story, now playing at Broadway Palm. They created an entire movie/play based solely on one boy’s quest for the perfect present.
Review: AN ORCHARD FOR CHEKHOV at Upstream Theater by James Lindhorst
- November 22, 2025 Brício’s play, An Orchard for Chekhov, is written with sophisticated humor. It is entertaining and moves quickly yet feels empty in its ambiguity, not dissimilar to Alma’s and her daughter’s lack of fulfillment. But Brício’s characters linger in your gray space long after the curtain has fallen. Perhaps that is the playwright’s Chekhovian intention.
Review: A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at Opera In The Heights! by Armando Urdiales
- November 22, 2025 Tenuous scene changes, promising performances, and Stephen Sondheim's dazzling score are hallmarks of Opera in the Heights' season-opening production of A Little Night Music. While there are some areas for improvement in this evening's performance, this production is a music lover's dream, offering the chance to witness this score delivered with a truly classical voice.

Review: THE NEW DECAMERON: SONGWRITERS IN LOCKDOWN at The Triad Theater by Andrew Poretz
- November 22, 2025 If this first, riotously funny episode of The New Decameron: Songwriters in Lockdown is any indication, it will be the web equivalent of must-watch TV. Kudos to John Forster, Hillary Rollins and Tom Toce.
Review: ALL MY SONS, starring Bryan Cranston and Marianne Jean-Baptiste by Cindy Marcolina
- November 22, 2025 This is Ivo van Hove’s triumphant return to the West End. He reunites with Bryan Cranston (whom he worked with on Network at the National theatre in 2017) for Arthur Miller’s All My Sons – famously, the playwright’s last attempt at writing a commercial success. Van Hove assembles a tremendous company (Cranston, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Paapa Essiedu, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Hayley Squires) to dissect the exploitative nature of the American Dream, giving a jarring picture of family and loyalty. This is, on the surface, quite the stylistic departure for van Hove. The director decided that less is more here and the result is astonishing.

- November 22, 2025 The West End is in crisis. Our beloved Gallus has their ballet exam today and can’t remember the difference between good toes and naughty toes. Then, to make matters worse, their best pal Dinah The Cat (if a feline bezzie is good enough for Taylor it’s good enough for Gallus) has vanished.
