Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced NPR humorist David Sedaris returns by popular demand on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. at the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis). With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, Sedaris has become one of America's pre-eminent humor writers. He is the master of satire and one of today's most observant writers addressing the human condition.

Duluth Playhouse produces the Minnesota premiere of the psychological drama Make Believe at the Underground Theatre May 19-28th. For the Conlee kids, playing house is no longer a game when their parents inexplicably disappear. Thirty-two years later and now adults returning to their childhood attic, the search for answers continues. Make Believe opened to rave reviews during its Off-Broadway run in 2019, with the New York Times naming it a Critic's Pick. Tony-nominated playwright Bess Wohl’s rich and moving drama invites the audience to rethink their own childhood experiences and explore the questions we carry with us.

Theater Latté Da today announces Bethany Brinton, Crystal Manich and Celeste Moreno as the recipients of the NEXT Generation Commission in 2022, furthering Theater Latté Da's commitment to providing opportunities for women artists and BIPOC artists. The NEXT Generation Commission supports the creation and development of new musical theatre projects whose creative teams are at least 50% women artists or BIPOC artists. The creative team will share the $20,000 commission.
