Footloose: The Musical at Open Door Community Theatre

Open Door Community Theatre presents Footloose: The Musical, a high energy stage adaptation of the hit movie Footloose, bursting with electrifying dance, unforgettable music, and a powerful story about freedom and self expression.

When city teenager Ren McCormack moves to a small, conservative town, he's shocked to discover that dancing and rock music are banned. Determined to bring joy and change, Ren challenges the strict rules enforced by the town's influential preacher, Reverend Shaw Moore, whose own past tragedy fuels his beliefs. Along the way, Ren forms a bond with the preacher's rebellious daughter, Ariel, and inspires the town's youth to stand up for their right to celebrate life.

Featuring iconic songs like "Footloose," "Let's Hear It for the Boy," and "Holding Out for a Hero," this crowd pleasing musical is a celebration of youth, courage, and the transformative power of music.

• Saturday, June 27th at 2pm (*Sensory Friendly - Discounted rate of $15 for Adults & $12 for Kids/Seniors)
• Saturday, June 27th at 7pm
• Sunday, June 28th at 3pm (ASL Interpreted)

*Please note: the Saturday, June 27th performance at 2pm will be a sensory friendly option. This performance is for those desiring a sensory-friendly experience including half dimmed house lights, reduced sound, and the ability to move around the house as needed. This performance is offered for a discounted ticket price.
