By: Dec. 21, 2010

The Detroit Derby Girls will bring twice the action in March and April with a strong line-up of national and local competitions. Tickets for all DDG bouts throughout March and April go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 10 a.m.

In March, get your first taste of national competition on Saturday, March 5 as Detroit's highly ranked travel team takes on the Windy City Roller All-Stars. Then on Saturday, March 19, the DDG return to Cobo Arena for more home season action when the D-Funk Allstars face the Pistolwhippers and the Devil's Night Dames meet the Detroit Pistoffs.

In April, the DDG travel team welcomes the Chicago Outfit Syndicate in another nationally sanctioned bout on Saturday, April 2 and the Dairyland Dolls from Madison, WI on Saturday, April 16. In addition to Saturday, April 16, the DDG will close out their home season of regular game play with the Detroit Pistoffs and Grand Prix Madonnas.

The Detroit Derby Girls support our sister leagues in and around Michigan, and are happy to announce that opening bouts on April 2nd and March 5th will feature non-Detroit affiliated leagues. On April 2nd come watch the Mid Michigan Derby Girls versus the Glass City Rollers. On March 5th the Skee Town Skirtz will take on the Killamazoo Derby Darlins.

Detroit Roller Derby is a family-friendly environment, with two kids 12 and under receiving free admission with each paying adult. Doors are at 5 p.m. and the first bout whistle is at 6:30 p.m.
