The Pointer Sisters are a Pop/R&B act that achieved mainstream success during the 1970's and 1980's. Spanning over three decades, their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop music, disco, jazz, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance and rock. The sisters have received two Grammy Awards, achieved four Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles in a row, honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, won two American Music Awards, and were one of the featured acts at the closing ceremonies of the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.
