The Broward Stage Door Theatre is slowly but steadily growing into its new Lauderhill home. The Producers is a show that can challenge any major regional theatre with its performance and technical demands. The Stage Door has taken on said challenge with grace. Throughout the show's month-long run, audiences have laughed at the show's timeless Mel Brooks humor and were moved by some high-quality performances.

Miami City Ballet's (MCB) highly anticipated program features the return of Justin Peck's Wynwood-inspired Heatscape, accompanied by two George Balanchine works: Duo Concertant and The Four Temperaments, and August Bournonville's The Flower Festival in Genzano Pas de Deux. This year, the Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID) is sponsoring Heatscape as part of a 2019 season partnership with MCB, in an effort to expose new audiences to the art that inspires and is inspired by the Wynwood Arts District. Miami City Ballet will perform in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center Feb. 22-24; at the Broward Center March 9-10; and in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center March 15-17; Tickets are available here.

Nicole Martinez, operating director of The Bridge, producer/director Jessica Farr, and playwright Caleb Scott will be presenting an evening of local bands, drag performances, and a sneak peek of the show, TOBI or The Memory Machines, a futuristic play with songs, opening later this Fall at The Bridge. The evening will feature musical acts by The Memory Machines (Afrobeta), Haute Tension, and Shira Lee. Drag performances will happen throughout with acts to be announced. A sneak peek of the show will be performed live and will feature innovative tech elements to be showcased in the production. The event will be emceed by Farr and Scott, and an OPEN BAR will be available to all guests. Entry to this evening of live music and theatre is only $25 per person. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced that celebrated musician and conductor Yoel Levi will conduct the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at an upcoming presentation of the Center's Regional Arts Classical Concert Series. Levi is replacing the previously announced Zubin Mehta, who has to withdraw from the Orchestra's current United States tour due to health issues.
