Acorn Productions continues the company's Friday Night Reading Series in the Acorn Studio Theater with 2 evenings of plays that were submitted to this year's Maine Playwrights Festival (MPF) but not included in the final line-up. The 5 plays include a full-length piece by John Manderino, whose work has been included in the past 6 MPFs, and 4 short plays by other area authors. Each play will be given a dramatic reading by local professional actors and will be followed by a talkback with the author. These types of public events are crucial components of the revision process, providing authors with important feedback from theater artists and audiences about their works in progress. The dramatic readings take place on Friday, February 19th and Friday, March 12th. Both begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public with a $5 suggested donation. The Acorn Studio Theater is located in the company's home complex in the Dana Warp Mill in Westbrook.
