Kentucky Performing Arts ArtsReach will showcase the voices of Louisville Black men and boys in a two-part event in the MeX Theater at The Kentucky Center. The events will offer an important perspective and address issues that impact boys and men of color, inspiring discussion and thought.

Kentucky Performing Arts (KPA) kicks off its 40th anniversary season celebration with a community-wide event on Sunday, August 27 at The Kentucky Center (501 West Main Street). The Community Open House will welcome the entire city and state to the building where it all began.

 Outback Presents announced that James Murray, best known as “Murr” on the hit TV show Impractical Jokers on truTv and The Misery Index on TBS will embark on a solo comedy tour. The tour begins in Atlanta, Ga on September 8 and will come to the Brown Theatre in Louisville, KY on Saturday, October 21 at 7:00PM.

This weekend, The Carnegie's 2023 Summer Series will see the curtain close after one of the most successful runs in the theatre's history. A fan favorite, KINKY BOOTS, smashed Carnegie records and earned the spot as the best-selling production in the organization's history.

Hot on the heels of his critically-lauded Netflix special, comedian Mark Normand has announced 30 dates in 2023 for his first major theatre tour, Ya Don’t Say Tour, and will include stops in Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington D.C. and his hometown of New Orleans, LA. 

Kentucky Performing Arts (KPA) has announced that Nick Covault has been promoted to Vice President of Education and Community. Covault has served as executive director of the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts (GSA) since 2016 and has been with Kentucky Performing Arts, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), since 2010.

What did our critic think of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Drag Daddy Productions And The Chicken Coop? Every once in awhile, a show comes around that manages to wedge its self in the center of a triple vin-diagram, overlapping in critical acclaim, commercial success, and the hardest to crack, overwhelmingly beloved by the theater community. I’d venture to say that Jesus Christ Superstar is one of those rare shows to land in the center of this hypothetical chart. The theatre community adores Jesus Christ Superstar as a musical, which is part of the reason it’s had such a long life and had continued to be produced for the better part of the last 50 years.

Bunbury Theatre presents The Weir by Conor Mcpherson ​at The Henry Clay Theatre in October. The performance is set for Friday, October 13, 2023 at 7:30PM. Tickets are $12-22.

Producers The Araca Group, Work Light Productions, and Lively McCabe Entertainment have announced that a North American tour of CLUE, the hilarious murder mystery comedy inspired by the board game and adapted from the cult favorite film, will launch in Minneapolis, MN, playing the Orpheum Theatre from February 27 to March 3, 2024.

Bernheim has shared that Arts in Nature Curator, Jenny Zeller, was chosen to receive the 2023 Kittleman Scholarship for Aspiring Public Garden Leaders through the American Public Gardens Association (APGA).

Performances and the cast have been revealed for the regional premiere of the musical The Prom. Each performance at The Henry Clay Theatre August 11 - 26 will include a community Prom experience complete with refreshments for sale, photo opportunities, a Prom royalty selection, along with dancing before the show and at intermission.

Southern Indiana Elements of Art, in partnership with the Charlestown Parks Department will present the ferociously hilarious musical Mean Girls JR. on July 21st at 7pm and July 22nd at 2pm & 7pm at Charlestown High School.

The Association of International Champions (AIC) - - The organization for people who have won the Barbershop Harmony Society’s annual International Quartet Contest – will be presenting the Ultimate Barbershop Quartet Show on Friday July 7 at 7:30 p.m. at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts – Whitney Hall, 501 West Main Street.

To Kill a Mockingbird first hit bookstore shelves in 1960, where it has since become a staple in American literature. An academy award winning film adaptation was released two years later in 1962, and is equally synonymous with the title. The story focuses on a trial in which Tom Robinson, a black man is accused of assaulting Mayella Ewell, a white woman in 1930s Alabama. Atticus Finch takes on the task of representing Robinson. The story focuses on the aftermath of that choice, told through the eyes of Atticus’ youngest child, Jean Louise “Scout” Finch. 

Radio and Television personality Bobby Bones announces the full schedule for his upcoming “Comedically Inspirational On Tour.” The tour comes to the Brown Theatre in Louisville, KY Friday, November 17. 

Building on the success of the inaugural year of the Louisville Orchestra (LO) Creators Corps, the LO has announced the appointment of Creators through the 2024-25 season. The 2023-24 Creators are Alex Berko, Nkeiru Okoye and Tanner Porter, and the 2024-25 Creators will be Baldwin Giang, Brittany J. Green and Oswald Huỳnh.

An all-new national tour is coming Louisville, KY's Brown Theatre on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 7:30pm which will bring fans a whole new way to experience their favorite box office hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Louisville Orchestra in partnership with Louisville Public Media present Rufus Wainwright: Want Symphonic at The Louisville Palace on September 30, 2023 at 7:30 p.m.

This summer, The Carnegie invites audiences to the “Land of Lola” with its production of KINKY BOOTS. Performances run June 30 through August 19, 2023. 

What did our critic think of INTO THE WOODS at Tennessee Performing Arts Center? The star-studded cast is led by Tony Award winner Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus as The Baker’s Wife and the Baker respectively. They’re a real-life couple, so their chemistry is justly wonderful, but I cannot express how amazing their individual performances are as well.

In 2001, Baz Luhrumann's film welcomed the world to the Moulin Rouge. The film is credited as part of the resurgence of movie musicals in the early 2000s, and continues to be an audience favorite. After whispers of a stage adaptation for years and years, the dream became a reality in 2018 with an out-of-town tryout in Boston.  Moulin Rouge finally opened on Broadway in the Summer of 2019, as an instant hit. That Broadway season was cut short in March of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but when the season resumed in the Fall of 2021, it was nominated for 14 Tony Awards (winning 10, including best musical). The show finally embarked on its highly anticipated national tour in 2022.
