Mountain Mamas at Somerset First United Methodist Church

Mountain Mamas by Daryl Lisa Fazio tells the story of three generations of female coal miners reckoning with what the coal industry has given them and taken away. The leading lady, Patsy, is a rambunctious and opinionated mother who loses the ability to move or communicate after a mining accident. Directed by Sommer Winstead, the play deals with themes of family, tradition, labor, environmentalism, and living with a disability in America.
