Momentum Dance is a studio at 6749 Tod Avenue SW in Warren, Ohio, whose stated mission is to integrate technique with positive learning and social experiences that build both dancers and self-confident adults. It says it caters to every type of dancer - new or experienced, playful or serious - and emphasises age-appropriate content, respect and messages of strength, pride and joy in the classroom. Classes run from Mini Movers for ages 2 to 3, through On My Own for three-year-olds and combination tap/ballet/jazz classes for ages 4 to 7, into styles-based classes for ages 7 to 13 and 13 and up including musical theatre, tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and jazz/hip-hop fusion. Pre-pointe and pointe classes are available to qualified ballet students, along with recreational tumbling, a Body Focus conditioning class and adult ballroom sessions. Private lessons in any style, low-cost open studio sessions and periodic free 'A Chance to Dance' classes are also offered, and students perform in a spring showcase in June.
