No Boundaries Youth Theater (formerly New Britain Youth Theater) continues its ninth season with winter classes, homeschool programs, and auditions for children and teens.

Auditions will be held for Charlotte's Web for ages 6 through 14 on Monday, January 14, and Wednesday, January 16, at Holmes Elementary School in New Britain at 2150 Stanley Street. Audition times both days begin at 6:00 p.m. All levels of experience are welcome, and auditions are open to children from any town. The production will be performed at Holmes Elementary School on May 3, 4 and 5.

The story by award-winning author E.B. White is a heartwarming tale of friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice about a runt pig whose life is saved by a girl named Fern and then by a very special spider named Charlotte. NBYT's non-musical production will be staged in the book's original setting New England in the early 1950s and a chorus of storytellers will bring the famous barn cellar and an old-time country fair to life.

Also this month, NBYT begins new classes and homeschool programs.
Classes in acting (ages 5-14) and improv (ages 10-16) begin on Saturday, January 19. Each eight-week term ends with a class performance open to family and friends. Younger children will stage Greek Myths and Drama, with drama games and scenes to teach the basics of theatrical story telling, character development, voice, and movement.Older students will study voice and speech in Stage Performance Skills. The theater's popular Improv class welcomes new students and challenges returning students to build new skills.

Homeschool enrichment programs begin on Tuesday, January 22, and include a performance program for ages 8 to 14 and an improv class for ages 8-16. This term, the performance class will learn about and create a Vaudeville show including scenes, songs, and slapstick comedy from the popular entertainment form of the early 20th Century.

A Stage Performance for All class beginning on Thursday, January 24, for ages 9 to 14 will begin with drama games and warm-ups, development of voice and movement skills to each student's abilities, ensemble building, and instruction of stage performance skills. The class will then develop and rehearse an original play or short scenes for performance. Open to all participants, the class specifically welcomes, engages, and challenges each participant to their own physical, mental, sensory, and emotional abilities.

Classes and homeschool programs are held at NBYT's Studio Theater space at the New Britain-Berlin YMCA Program Center at 362 Main Street in the Kensington Center of Berlin.
