The PlayhouseSquare District will present four free outdoor after-work concerts on Star Plaza beginning with the first one on Thursday, June 24. Titled the "Dundee Outdoor Concert Series presented by V107.3 and SCENE," it is the newest and Downtown Cleveland's only after-work live free concert series. Developed by PlayhouseSquare and The PlayhouseSquare District Development Corporation (PDDC), the series will include local Cleveland bands, (see below) Dundee Summer Wheat Beer happy hour specials, specialty foods by the new city food cart vendors, V107.3 air personality, Ravenna Micelli - games and prize giveaways.
The new Dundee Outdoor Concert Series is part of the "Summer Excitement at PlayhouseSquare" program of over 100 free events and activities on Star Plaza plus, Broadway engagements, concerts and a film series inside The PlayhouseSquare theaters. "The concert series is designed to attract those who work in the area to stay downtown a bit longer. This not only adds to the vitality of PlayhouseSquare, but also helps to generate a direct economic impact for our local businesses," says PlayhouseSquare President and CEO, Art Falco.Thursday, June 24 - Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band

Thursday, September 9 - Mo'MojoThe PlayhouseSquare District Development Corporation {PDDC} is a not-for-profit organization comprised of PlayhouseSquare district neighborhood property owners. Property owners initiate programs that focus on creating and maintaining a clean and safe, aesthetically appealing, active and exciting district for business, residence, recreation and entertainment. These programs are led and managed by PlayhouseSquare [performing arts center and area developer] with approval by the PDDC board members. The PDDC was the first district in Downtown Cleveland to establish a Business Improvement District {BID} where property owners instituted a self-assessed tax {based on frontal footage of each building} to privately manage services such as, sidewalk and street cleaning, security, beautification measures and marketing. They also played an active and primary role in creating the "Clean and Safe" ambassador's program, along with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance. The BID model initially developed by the PDDC has been adopted by the Downtown Cleveland Alliance.
