DaVinci X Exhibition Opens At The Denver Pavilions Presented By Colorado School Of Mines The DaVinci X - The Machines & You Exhibition presented by Colorado School of Mines is now open at the Denver Pavilions. The renowned museum-quality exhibition will be at the Denver Pavilions for a limited engagement.

The DaVinci Machines Exhibition, which has been touring North America for the last six years, is collaborating with Colorado School of Mines to present a one-of-a-kind experience only available in Denver. The exhibition will not only highlight the greatest inventor and artist of all time with interactive models and art of Leonardo DaVinci but also bring together for the first time a workshop and 3D makerspace focused on creativity and innovation.

This one-of-a-kind "DaVinci Makerspace," the brainchild of Dr. Werner Kuhr, director of the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Mines, will feature 3D printers with CAD/CAM software, allowing visitors to leave with their own 3D-printed Leonardo DaVinci invention. This aspect of the exhibition is something that DaVinci could only have dreamed of, exhibition curator Mark Rodgers said.

"We are totally excited at Genius Productions to be associated with Colorado School of Mines in combining their commitment to learning and individual development alongside the genius of DaVinci," Rodgers said. "The whole idea and focus of this exhibition and makerspace is to inspire the visitor to 'Discover the DaVinci in You."

Other popular aspects of the exhibition will include guided tours, a free audio tour that plays on the visitors' own smartphone with ear buds and the exclusive "DaVinci Genius" movie that explores the genius of the greatest inventor of all time. In the Kids Sections, young students can color the Mona Lisa, build DaVinci's portable foot bridge and make a parachute that actually flies.

For the first time in Denver, the exhibition will feature a full-size reproduction of DaVinci's musical water organ. This musical instrument invention, just discovered in DaVinci's codices over the last decade, has just now been produced and is the only one of its kind in the world. Museum-quality digital canvas reproductions of DaVinci's greatest masterpieces will be on display, as well as a near life-size replica of the Last Supper the way Leonardo intended his masterpiece to be viewed and DaVinci's Battle of Anghari, known as the "Lost Leonardo."

The Titans Experience Theatre Production:

In addition to the exhibition, the national touring production of DaVinci & Michelangelo: The Titans Experience Theatre Performance will be presented at various times during the run of the exhibition in Denver. The performance is a two-hour Broadway-style multimedia show that compares and contrasts the incredible lives of Leonardo and Michelangelo as never before. This original theatre production has been touring the U.S. for the last two years and is exclusively represented by Columbia Artist Theatricals in New York City.

"We are so thrilled to have our exhibition at the Denver Pavilions," Rodgers said. "So far everyone has been embracing our exhibit and, out of every state, Colorado has shown the most interest. Denver has always been our top city choice presenting the exhibition and performance. Wherever we go it feels like the exhibition was meant to be here."
