By now, you've settled into watching the Winter Olympics being televised from PyeongChang. Our friends at Jim Beam have a few themed cocktails that are great to mix up and sip while enjoying the exciting winter events.

Alone at the Top

A twist on an American classic, this old fashioned substitutes sugar with honey, in a nod to the South. It also features blood orange, a fruit only grown during the winter months in Texas. It's a cocktail certain to stand atop the podium.

-1 Slice blood orange

-1 Luxardo cherry

-1 Sugar Cube

-1.75 oz. Jim Beam Bourbon

-.5 oz. American Honey

-1 Dash Angostura Bitters

Place orange peel, cherry, and sugar cube in cocktail tin and use muddler to gently release its oils. Add bourbon, honey, and bitters; stir until honey is dissolved. Add ice and stir until cold. Single strain into rocks glass with a chunk of ice. Garnish with orange peel.

Going for Gold

A taste of both Kentucky and Korea, this creamy, yet refreshing cocktail incorporates banana milk, a commonly used Eastern Asia ingredient. It's a cocktail perfect for anyone looking to experience South Korean culture, from the comfort of home.

-1.5 oz Jim Beam Bourbon

-.5 oz Heavy cream

-1 oz Banana milk

-.5 oz Fresh lemon juice

-.5 oz Fresh grapefruit juice

-.75 oz Simple syrup

-1 Fresh egg white

-Club soda

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and dry shake ingredients until super frothy (1 minute), add ice to tin and shake until cold. Double strain it into a coupe glass.
