Good. Boy, it sure hasn't take long for Musk to destroy Twitter.

I expect handles that have anything to do with Broadway to also quit pretty soon. So many people have left, it's really not worth it anymore.

Twitter is really falling apart here. Playbill is smart to leave it before they're targeted and impersonated for no apparent reason, which could damage their brand. Great call.

Hopefully BroadwayWorld will follow suit.

I'm actually overjoyed at how Musk is quickly killing off the platform. I've always felt pressured to join it for work related reasons, but have always found it to be a vile place that only encourages hateful sniping instead of discussion. Now I have one more valid excuse to tell my boss that I won't take part. Honestly, at this point...the only relevance they have is in the adult content market. As soon as that market finds another home, Twitter will truly be irrelevant. They can charge whatever they want for a silly blue check mark, who cares!

I hope all the Broadway outlets, including BroadwayWorld, follow Playbill's lead very soon.

It's so wonderful to see the downfall of Twitter, and, let's all pray, the downfall of Elon Musk.

In a world where standing ovations have become the norm, this move truly deserves a SO! Bravo, Playbill!

I have never had an interest in Twitter.  However, given Playbill's reasoning, I do believe that it is correct in leaving Twitter.

But they’re staying on Facebook? Sure!

That’s a fair point. If it’s just about truth and insidious rhetoric Facebook isn’t much better.

A bit of virtual signaling here. Nothing (in terms of content) has really changed at Twitter other than Musk taking over. If Playbill truly cares about misinformation, why is it still on FB?

Sad.  I don't like how Facebook tracks me, so I guess there's less Playbill I'll be reading now.  (Haven't noticed anything different on Twitter in the past few weeks; same people posting the same stuff.)

This just screams ‘performative activism’ to me. Where has Playbill been these last few years when theater twitter has become an increasing cesspit of nasty toxicity - but I guess it didn’t care when that toxicity was coming from the their own side.

Elon Musk doesn’t need any help in destroying twitter from the looks of things, but as another poster has said, if his taking over accelerates this that’s no bad thing given the state of it. My only worry is this leads to even more fractures where people will increasingly communicate in their own echo chambers consisting only of people who think exactly the same way as them, and we move even further away from reasoned debate and exchange of different opinion, which we do need in a functioning society.

Have you been paying any attention to what’s been happening over there at Twitter?

Literally EVERY app, website and especially social media platform tracks you. BWW is tracking you right now.

What's more absurd? The idea of "reactivating MySpace" or creating an OnlyFans site?

Considering it's a joke, it can be as absurd as she wants? Glad she is leaving. Twitter is just one guy now and no one uses it anymore anyways.
