If the entire production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY had to occur just for those vlogs, it’s okay. “Fan maaaaaaail!”. Also another favorite moment is when she puts Bebe Neuwirth’s old chaise lounge in her tiny dressing room.
Lesli Margherita’s MATILDA vlog was also pretty fabulous.
Caught the show on Saturday night, and will be seeing it again on Friday. I was a huge fan of the Broadway production.
The tour is off to a fabulous start. Danielle Wade really knocks it out of the park as Cady, and (with the help of someone else's performance) really centers the production in a way I don't think Erika Henningsen did. Cady is firmly at the center of the story, and Wade's vocals were incredible. Much more belt than mix - unsure if it's sustainable but wh
I appreciate the honesty. She knows it better to leave now than stay any longer and risk hating the job. Eight shows a week is not easy, and the vocal demands of that role are challenging. I'd rather she leave and find an exciting new project than stay in the show for years becoming exceedingly wooden.
The comment about backstage tours made me actually laugh out loud.

So I have a feeling that featured role will likely be filled by a person of color, along with members of the ensemble. I can’t think of any recent Broadway show where race or ethnicity was immaterial that totally lacked diversity."

I hope they do play around with some of them. I thought Craig sounded great, but there were some jarring moments in group numbers that really took me out of it. That “really ABOUTTTTTT” in the opening isn’t great. Maybe Lenk could just do it down the octave.
