Still nothing on Dear Evan Hansen, Hadestown, West Side Story, or The Girl From the North Country. I'd expect Flying Over Sunset to be apart of LTC's Thursday announcement.

Thanks! Dear Evan Hansen looks like it'll return on a limited schedule of just 5 shows a week.

Neither Dear Evan Hansen or Book of Mormon have made actual announcements.

The Book of Mormon has tickets on sale beginning Sept. 14, they just haven't made an announcement.

Off-Broadway, Jersey Boys is selling tickets beginning 11/15.

Also, The Book of Mormon doesn't actually have tickets on sale. 9/14 is the first date on Ticketmaster that isn't listed as "cancelled," but if you try to purchase tickets, you get the message "on sale date and time are in the works - please check back!" Same thing with Moulin Rouge!

Hogan was basing that guess on the fact that smaller shows will appeal more to locals, in a time where the  tourism industry is still on the mend. Just because the big blockbusters are choosing to open doesn't mean they are smart to do so. I hope everything works out, but time will tell.

It was a sell-out smash for years, including in the months prior to Covid closure. If Phantom and Chicago are reopening, why wouldnt BOM? (and BOM, to me, is a show worth seeing more than once, unlike many of these other long running tourist attractions...)

I wonder why DEH seems to reopening so much later than everything else announced so far. Considering how popular it is and the fact that it’s been running for a while so is pretty well-established...

They’re a pretty tourist heavy show, so they might be waiting for the height of holiday travel season to restart.

I’ve heard rumors for a couple years now (I know, rumors) that since it wasn’t selling as well, it might close down. But since everything closed down, maybe it will reopen and make millions and millions of $$$ and stay open for a very long time.

Before the pandemic, Book Of Mormon had started losing its status as a "hot ticket" - the demand was no longer greater than the supply. Part of that transition was that it started to occasionally show up at the TKTS booth. But by normal standards, it was still doing quite well. It still had grosses that other shows would envy, and I don't think the running cost is prohibitively high - I'm sure it's not a cheap show to run, but it's not crazy expensive like, say for example, Cursed Child. And unlike Frozen or Beetlejuice, it doesn't seem like the powers that be are looking for an excuse to close it.

I remember the Book of Mormon creatives mention something about going back and doing some rewrites, or at least working with cast members on addressing stereotypes and how they're portrayed.  Not sure if that'll actually happen, but I wonder if that's also one of the factors delaying the announcement of reopening.

Was curious if anyone has tried buying tickets for anything directly at the box office? I typically try to do that to avoid the telecharge fees. Are box offices even open for this yet? Probably not if I had to guess but curious if anyone has tried.

Also wondering if lotteries/standing room/rush type seats will be a thing still. But I know I’m getting ahead of myself. Just so glad Broadway is finally coming back!!

This morning, Ticketmaster still showed a bunch of cancelled dates for Hadestown, and then a few dates that looked to be on sale and ready to go for the beginning of October. I just checked again, and there are zero dates listed, so I would expect an announcement to come within the next few days!

If I recall correctly, Hadestown is no longer a Ticketmaster show. All Jujamcyn Theatres shows switched to SeatGeek. So if you see any Jujamcyn shows (I think Book Of Mormon and Moulin Rouge! are the only others right now) selling on Ticketmaster...don't buy them until/unless the shows say something officially.

Man has it been awhile since I posted here..I've missed it. 

Anyway, I wonder if K-Pop is still anticipating a broadway run. I remember they were still conducting virtual casting calls online up until December, I believe.
