I think Cook was out for more than two shows. Corey Mach went on Aug. 2 & 3 plus John Jeffrey Martin was one at least once last week as Charlie.

I don't know. I think the show should close with Ghee as Lola. Who the Charlie will be is being speculated now, but I'd assume whoever replaces Cook will close out the show.
From friends that saw the show today, they were interviewing audience members after the show for a commercial. This should be interesting since my friends got interviewed and didn't like the show.
That's actually an error by Playbill Vault. Moore only covers for Mama when one of the two covers is on vacation. Moore covered Mama and Velma back in the day and when she was on tour.
Marika Aubrey, Jane Bunting, Michael Brian Dunn, Julie Garnyé, Adam Halpin, and Aaron Michael Ray are the standbys. Jane Bunting was recently in the Broadway production as a vacation standby. I know she went on as Bonnie, not sure about anyone else

I felt bad for when Linda went on. The performance was delayed due to people leaving the theater and getting refunds. But I'd love to see current u/s Carmen Ruby Floyd in the role.

Poor press release by the producers to not say who is playing who.
Yeah, didn't think that was too smart. Whoopi has raved about flops before (Margaritaville, Spongebob, Honeymoon in Vegas, the Ragtime revival), so doubt this helps.
On "The View" today, Whoopi gave the show huge praise and told everyone to go see it NOW and not to go by the reviews. Not sure how much Whoopi's approval will help, but it's something.
