Upcoming Waitress casting Aug 20

Ugh, Sparks was terrible in IN THE HEIGHTS. at least she's not closing out the show. This makes me believe the final Jenna will be Bareilles or Mueller.

Figured it would be the touring cast considering they're starting rehearsals in a few weeks. Really not much time to replace anyone. Got a friend making his Broadway debut in this, so I'm really hoping it doesn't flop.

Judging by social media, I'm going to say no.
Last Performance Experiences Aug 15

Was so hoping to grab a ticket for the final performance of THE CHER SHOW, but just didn't happen.
The closing performance of the A CHORUS LINE revival had me in tears. Like 50% of the show. The meaning of that show, for it to come back and have a whole new generation experience it's greatness was magical. Having performed the show half a dozen times also left a special place in my heart.

Geno Carr is the only OBC to announce he's leaving. I believe November 10 is his last day. I would assume the remaining 8 OBC have extended again.

I always enjoyed Charlotte's Roxie. Her and Lana together might get me to see it again. Was a relief that AFW isn't returning until mid-October.

All of these announcements recently and I keep thinking, "what the hell are the producers of COMPANY waiting for?"!

On another note, it appears highly unlikely that Oklahoma extends past it's current closing date in January.

So they have 5 weeks to sell a show most people have never heard of without any kind of "name" attached? This has flop written all over it. Does it even last it's 16 weeks?

The Tootise vs. Beetlejuice debate is simple: word-of-mouth. Anyone I know that's seen Beetlejuice has loved it. Not so much for Tootsie. Tootsie might be gone by mid-October. Beetlejuice has a solid year+ in it.

16-week limited engagement. I wonder if the entire tour cast will transfer?

$70??? That's ridiculous!!
The Cher Show to close August 18th Aug 7

I do find it sad that the closing show is sold out and yet the Saturday evening performance has a ton of seats available. I get the hype around closing shows and the possibility that Cher might be there, but come on people!!

RE: Come From Away, it had it's first available discount this summer since previews. It's still grossing ~$900k a week and selling out. It also just had it's 1,000 performance. It's easier to get a ticket now and with a discount, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon. I'd fully expect it to reach 2,000 performances.
Highly doubtful. It didn't sell on tour and would be an immediate flop on Broadway. And next month? Not much advance notice for ticket sales for a show nobody knows about and has no names attached. Maybe an 8-week limited run, but that's all I can see this running for.

Terrible in what way? I don’t think there’s a bad viewpoint in the theater. Do you mean the seating itself?"
I'm 6'2" and find their mezz very cramped with limited leg room.
