All I can say is: I sure am glad I saw THE WAVERLY GALLERY during its first week, when the Playbill still featured the show's artwork.

I also was a big fan of this piece when I saw it at the Public this past spring, and I’m excited to revisit it through the cast recording. It’s been one of my favorite musicals that I’ve seen this year.

Seeing as she's doing Roundabout's Benefit of MY ONE AND ONLY on November 12 and A CHORUS LINE runs November 14-18, I'd imagine this is a no-go, as the rehearsal processes would likely overlap.
I saw this tonight and thought Elaine May was outstanding. To paraphrase BroadwayConcierge, it truly never felt like she was acting. A beautiful, heartbreaking, realistic performance. I'll be thinking about it for some time.
Lucas Hedges also turned in a nice performance, walking the line of frustration, desperation, and admiration quite adeptly.
I'm glad I caught this. Easily my favorite of the Lonergan Broadway offerings over the last few years. And for those curious,

I like to take curtain call pix w/my phone, but I ensure the sound is off and airplane is on. Never had an issue. I agree...mostly will likely say they don't have one....or will bring a second phone to hide. I always carry two phones for business reasons."
Airplane mode may prevent noise from incoming calls/texts, but it doesn'
Whizzer, I was also relatively fond of the score for THE WEDDING SINGER, and the only reason I was even remotely considering seeing this was because of my hopes that it would be somewhat similar to that show. It sounds like it's not, though, so I'll be content to pass on this one and spend my money elsewhere!

I don't think that a DEVIL WEARS PRADA musical will need much help drawing in the gay boy audience...

I might be misinterpreting what you mean by "wasn't even off-Broadway," but the play did have a production at the Public in the fall of 2014.

Especially since Summer is was given the theater as a filler production, due to the unexpectedly quick demise of Charlie

KISS ME, KATE has been announced for the 18/19 season.
That wasn't booing, it was people shouting "BRUUUUUUUUCE," which is typical at his concerts.
And while I also wish that best score (and the other design awards, etc.) were televised, airing the first hour elsewhere wouldn't really help raise visibility. Last night, only three design awards were awarded between 7 and 8. The remainder of that hour was dedicated to Special Tony Awards, and the remaining design awards were presented during commercial breaks.
