I tried posting in the other thread but it wouldnt let me

I had two sets of tickets, one in September early previews and one in October right before opening and my tickets now have been changed to early April & May of 2021.

Telecharge must be in the middle of an update as it's now showing a first performance date of April 7, 2021. Granted right now it's actually only showing two total performance dates.

That would make sense because my tix were for the 3rd preview and they’re now for 4/9.

Just checked my Telecharge account and am rescheduled for 5/21/2021. It is what it is, I guess. Thanks for the heads up, Jordan.

How are you guys seeing the few performance dates? I don't see any on the Telecharge landing page for The MM.

A friend of mine had tix for the first preview and now they’re for 4/7 so it looks like that’s the new first preview date.

Logged into Telecharge to check my tickets. They were also moved - from Dec 26 to July 24th.

Question re: checking when previously purchased tickets have been rescheduled to:

Are you only able to see your new dates if you log in with a telecharge account? My family purchased tickets, but we always check out as guest on telecharge and do not have an actual log in. Is there a way to check without one?

Just chiming in that I had tix for both the matinee and evening performances on October 24, and they have both been moved to May 15, same seats. Works just fine for me, I hope it still happens.

I noticed the change of dates to 2021. However, not sure if that meant anything   --

*if it is true that Hugh Jackman might be involved in filming a movie in the spring

*how sure are they that majority of the ticketholders will be able to make it on those "assigned" dates, especially if they are domestic or overseas tourists? It might be easier to simply automatically refund ( when an official announcement by Broadway League or the production itself is made) and then start the buying process again.

Unless they are offering some kind of discount or something if you follow their suggested changes?

Obviously they would allow you to refund or reschedule if you could not attend that date (or didn't wish to attend that date). The other obvious matter is that this production is being built entirely around Hugh Jackman. So, if he's not there, the show ain't gonna happen.

As for Jackman's new FERRARI film that was rumored last week, Michael Mann has been trying to make that thing since the 1990s. He can wait another 6-12 months (but also, I'll believe it when it happens).

As for recasting based on diversity: Scott Rudin probably could not give a hoot about that. The majority of the ticketbuying public won't give a hoot about it either, to be blunt. They're seeing MUSIC MAN for Jackman. There could be recasting of announced supporting roles for other reasons (eg. availability), but I would expect to see much of the announced principal cast intact.

if scott announced these dates, obviously the film is not going to conflict. duh.

now there are other variables but for those to play out we will have to hide and watch

If this is in fact true, what would that mean for a reopen of Mrs. Doubtfire?  Both are directed by Jerry Zaks.

Frankly, ticket buyers don't care about diversity in The Music Man. And if you do care, don't go, it won't make a dent.
