Well, I have relatives in town who want to see Carousel this Saturday night and I went on Telecharge thinking that post awards, it may be a tough ticket, and I couldn't be more wrong- more than 60% of the orchestra available at this point, so I'm thinking that Carousel didn't see any noticeable bump
Another weekend, another lack of any ads for any Rudin shows in the NYTimes. Kind of amazing to see a major producer cease taking ads in the NYTimes like this...
But don't these ads serve as 'for your consideration' ads for awards, since the vast majority of voters are based in NY? This no ad (not few ads, but NO ad) strategy is just so odd
I noticed something strange last week in the NYTimes and again this weekends Arts & Leisure section, that Scott Rudin doesn't appear to be taking any ads for any of his shows (Three Tall Women, Iceman Cometh, Carousel, Hello Dolly)- this also includes the listings section... For a producer who has been a prolific user of the print section of the times, this seems very, very odd, especially during Tony voting period which you would think he would want the shows to high visibility....&n
I'm thrilled (and shocked) there are so many tickets available to Harry Potter- but does anyone else find it odd? After those reviews last week, I thought I would be seeing it in May of 2019 (but seeing it tomorrow)
After all the 'online fundraising' last year to get Spring Awakening on the Tony awards, I haven't seen Spring Awakening listed on any subscriptions for the 17-18 season- am I missing dates? Did the tour not come together?
An opera gossip website reporting that Stefan Herheim is taking over as director of Frozen. Having seen two of his operas in Europe, this, if true, is ridiculously exciting news.
