Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), opens its 20th anniversary season with Jon Marans' award winning comedy-drama "The Temperamentals." "The Temperamentals" opens tonight, August 29, 2012, with a limited run through September 16 in the Studio Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the campus of HCC.

Everyman Theatre's 22nd season opener, Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, is one of the final two shows that will be produced at Everyman's Charles Street home this Fall. In January, 2013, Everyman Theatre will be making an historic move to its brand new theatre located downtown on Fayette Street. Critically acclaimed in New York, Time Stands Still was nominated for a Tony for Best Play in 2010. Everyman Theatre's production marks its Baltimore premiere.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) Music Director Marin Alsop leads the BSO in 2012-2013 Season Preview Concerts on Thursday, September 13 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore and on Friday, September 14 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. The concert highlights programs from the 2012-2013 season, such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, music from Bernstein's West Side Story, and a performance of Baltimore native Christopher Rouse's Ku-Ka-Ilimoku. Maestra Alsop also serves as the evening's host, providing interesting commentary about each work. Advance tickets are just $10 (and $15 at the door). Please see below for complete program details.

Everyman Theatre Announces Fall Master Class Series

Everyman Theatre has announced a new series of Master Classes for the fall called "The Actor's Body." Designed for aspiring and professional actors, the series of three classes focuses on different movement techniques for the stage. The classes will take place on Monday evenings (6 PM to 9 PM) from September 10th through September 24th. Classes may be purchased individually or as the complete series.

Olney Theatre Center announces the extension of its current production, the musical Little Shop of Horrors. The show, which opened on August 1, is now set to run for two additional weeks through September 9th. This is the first time in Olney Theatre Center's history that a production has been extended for two weeks at one time as a result of positive responses it has garnered from audiences since its opening and the seats are going fast.
