Atlanta-by-way-of Brooklyn rapper Ben Reilly releases his new Not Your Hero 4 Hire EP via Abstract Media/AWAL Recordings. Ben is set to unveil the music video for “PhotoShoot,” a previously released single on the EP. The six-track project invites listeners into the abstract, comic book-illustrated world that is Ben Reilly.

The Brook & The Bluff will release their highly anticipated new album Bluebeard next month but before then are releasing another song, “Headfirst.” It’s a gorgeous, meditative song which draws heavily from the moodier and melodic beauty of Justin Vernon’s Bon Iver project. 

Their 13 long players include benchmark-raising classics Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (1980), Organisation (1980), Architecture & Morality (1981), and Dazzle Ships (1983). OMD conquered the United States, and yielded the 1986 hit, 'If You Leave' from the Pretty In Pink Soundtrack. They have also achieved 12 top 20 hits on the UK Singles Chart.

Since its formation in 2018 by like-minded Calarts students Alex Kent (guitar, vocals), April Gerloff (bass), and Sylvie Simmons (guitar)— plus the recent addition of Clint Dodson (percussionist)— Los Angeles quartet Sprain has honed its signature flavor of experimentalism to a razor-fine point.

The band is centered around the songwriting of brothers MAX (vocals, guitar) and COLE BECKER (vocals, guitar), who’ve fronted the band through many evolutions, and now sees the addition of their brother CADE BECKER on bass. SWMRS enlisted their grandmother to star in the music video for “Little Miss Sunshine,” directed by COLE.

The art-rock quartet of Max Jaffe, Ro(b) Lundberg, Jessica Pavone, and Dave Scanlon known as JOBS announced the next phase of their unapologetically experimental art-rock saga with the new album Soft Sounds. Their fourth release for Ramp Local, the album follows up two full lengths, 2017's endless birthdays.

American singer-songwriter - DEKKER - has announced details of a UK tour for November 2023, ahead of the release of his new single “For Repair' (out 8 September). Fresh off the back of a busy festival season, Brookln Dekker (aka Dekker and one-half of the Anglo-American Indie-Folk duo Rue Royale) is set to share “For Repair” next month.

She made a name for herself covering popular songs on YouTube before gaining further notoriety in 2021 when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent using her own original song with lyrics made up entirely of hate comments she had received on her channel. Madilyn’s resilience and talent caught the attention of Simon Cowell.

Following her critically acclaimed 2019 Netflix Stand-Up Special Michelle Wolf: Joke Show, Michelle returns to Netflix with Michelle Wolf: It’s Great to Be Here. Wolf will forgo the traditional style of a one-hour special for shorter, more digestible half-hour episodes. Kurt Deimer released his brand new single 'Doom' to all major platforms along with the official music video on August 11, 2023. Kurt has also announced that he will be heading out on tour with Skid Row and Buckcherry in September and Mushroomhead in October. Check out the complete list of tour dates!

The band will make their return to Colorado’s Front Range for two shows each at the Dillon Amphitheater and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in September.  Then in October and November, the band will continue touring the US, plus a stop in Mexico in early December for their annual Strings and Sol festival.

Recipients include award-winning Brazilian filmmaker Carolina Markowicz who will be honoured with the TIFF Emerging Talent Award presented by MGM Studios. On Friday, the two-time GRAMMY winner, Blues Hall of Famer, and 16-time Blues Music Awards winner Bobby Rush released his new album All My Love For You via Deep Rush Records / Thirty Tigers. Also on Friday, Rush spoke with NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly on All Things Considered where he discussed growing up in the Jim Crow South.
