Last night, September 23, the stars of Memphis were honored with a Wall of Fame painting at Tony di Napoli's restaurant to kick off the new Broadway season and celebrate the cast's one year anniversary on Broadway. The painting was created by Dan May. Valerie Smaldone produced and emceed the event, which was hosted by Tony di Napoli's Bruce Dimpflmaier.

Last night, September 20th the Bleecker Street Theater Company presented a reading of Charles Messina's new Broadway-bound comedy, A ROOM OF MY OWN as part of that theater's Play Development Series. Messina directed the reading, which featured Ralph Macchio, Mario Cantone, Lynne Koplitz, Gina Ferranti, Valerie Smaldone, Kendra Jain, Johnny Tammaro and John Barbieri. Broadway's Bianca Marroquin (In the Heights, Chicago) spearheaded 'To Mexico From New York with Love,' a one-night-only benefit concert last night, September 1, at the Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center. The concert featured performances from Tony nominee Tom Wopat (A Catered Affair), Carol Woods (Chicago), Jaime Camil, Tony nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Café), Raymond Bokhour (Chicago) and many more.

Primary Stages, in association with Ted Snowdon, launched its 26th season with the New York premiere of SECRETS OF THE TRADE by Jonathan Tolins directed by Matt Shakman last night, August 10. The five-member cast features Amy Aquino as Joanne Lipman, Bill Brochtrup as Bradley, John Glover as Martin Kerner, Mark Nelson as Peter Lipman and Noah Robbins as Andrew Lipman.

Last night, August 5, the ROCK OF AGES Broadway cast and members of the newly announced touring cast partied together at BB Kings in Times Square to live 80's tunes by Lipstick & Leather, in addition to additional rock band cover singers. On Tuesday, June 1, Tony's di Napoli Restaurant in Times Square honored Broadway's LEND ME A TENOR with the 'Bartha, LaPaglia, Shalhoub' portrait - the newest addition to their prestigious Broadway Wall of Fame, created by Dan May. Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre are presenting the New York premiere of the new musical THE BURNT PART BOYS. With a book by Mariana Elder, music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and direction and musical staging by four-time Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J), the joint production opened on Tuesday, May 25 at 7PM.
