Later this week, on March 22, Hadestown will begin preview performances at the Walter Kerr Theatre, ahead of a Wednesday, April 17 official opening night. On Monday, March 18, DGF hosted a Salon at the Lambs Club where they presented actress Judith Light and playwright Tony Kushner with the DGF Madge Evans & Sidney Kingsley Awards. Former DGF Fellow, Oliver Houser, was also presented with the inaugural DGF Stephen Schwartz Award. The evening featured performances by Michael R. Jackson, James Jackson Jr., Sean Patrick Cameron, and Oliver Houser, and remarks by Jordan Roth, Jon Robin Baitz, and Stephen Schwartz.

Off-Broadway's The New Group honored Edie Falco and Serge Nivelle at the company's Annual Gala last night, March 11 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich). The event featured a performance by Brandon Victor Dixon and appearances by Peter Dinklage, Warren Leight, Erica Schmidt and Tarik Trotter.

The Mother by Florian Zeller, translated by Christopher Hampton, and directed by Trip Cullman, opened just last night, March 11, at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street). The production is a limited run through April 13, 2019.

In Fiercely Independent, Julie and Robert have been married for four years. They are not getting along.
