In just a few thousand minutes, The Minutes will finally arrive on Broadway, where it is set to begin previews on Broadway on Saturday, April 2, 2022, and open on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Studio 54.

The Life, directed and adapted by Billy Porter, is getting ready to begin performances at City Center Encores! this week. The production stars Jelani Alladin as Lou, Alexandra Grey as Queen, Antwayn Hopper as Memphis, Grammy nominee Mykal Kilgore as Young JoJo, Grammy Award winner Ledisi as Sonja, Erika Olson as Mary, Destan Owens as Old Jojo, and Ken Robinson as Fleetwood. Performances run March 16-20, 2022.

Tonight, March 10, 2022, the concert production of MasterVoices' performance of Anyone Can Whistle, takes the stage at ​​​​​​​ Carnegie Hall. The performance will star Vanessa Williams, who performed in the 2002 Broadway revival of Sondheim's Into the Woods and the 2010 revue Sondheim on Sondheim, in the role of a corrupt mayor of a small economically depressed American town.

Ma-Yi Theater Company is presenting THE CHINESE LADY at The Public Theater. The Chinese Lady is written by Lloyd Suh and Directed by Ralph B. Peña. The Chinese Lady runs through Sunday, April 10, 2022.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents a star-studded lineup of Broadway and Kennedy Center favorites coming together in the Kennedy Center Opera House to celebrate 50 Years of Broadway at the Kennedy Center. Last night, February 11, saw the first of two sold-out performances, with the second performance taking place this evening, February 12 at 7:30 p.m.

New York City Center just kicked off the 2022 Encores! Season with The Tap Dance Kid, featuring music by Henry Krieger, lyrics by Robert Lorick, and a book by Charles Blackwell. Directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon (A Raisin in the Sun), the production also includes new tap sequences by choreographer Jared Grimes (After Midnight) and a concert adaptation by Lydia Diamond (Stick Fly). Broadway's Joseph Joubert (Caroline or Change) will guest music direct The Tap Dance Kid.

Atlantic Theater Company just celebrated opening night of Shhhh, written, directed by, and featuring Clare Barron (Pulitzer Prize finalist Dance Nation). Shhhh will run through Sunday, February 13th at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).
