Comedy Central is opening its deep vault of half-hour stand-up specials for a 24-hour live stream event on the #1 brand in comedy's Stand-Up channel on YouTube that will cover specials curated from the past two decades. The live stream will include performances from some of the biggest names in comedy including Kevin Hart (2004), Jim Gaffigan (2000), Amy Schumer (2010), John Mulaney (2009), Zach Galifianakis (2001), Patton Oswalt (1999), Michael Che (2014), Gabriel Iglesias (2003), Anthony Jeselnik (2009), Daniel Tosh (2003), Sebastian Maniscalco (2008), Chris Redd (2017), Donald Glover (2010). In all, the 24-hour live stream will feature a curated playlist of over 60 half-hour stand-up specials beginning Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 p.m. ET on the Comedy Central Stand-Up channel on YouTube and culminating with the on-air premiere of the new season of Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents… with back-to-back episodes, Jaboukie Young-White and Vanessa Gonzalez, on Friday, October 18 at 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The Key West Film Festival announced today that its Opening Night film will be Martin Scorsese's critically acclaimed “The Irishman” (Netflix) and that it will close with Trey Edward Shults “Waves” (A24), which takes place in nearby Hollywood, FL. Orlando-based director Shults will appear for a Q&A.

Breakout New Orleans-based five-piece Tank and The Bangas make their “Austin City Limits” debut on November 18. The taped broadcast episode will air on PBS early next year as part of ACL's Season 45. The performance will feature songs off the band's new album Green Balloon, which is out now on Verve Forecast to widespread critical praise.

Disney Channel orders a fourth season of its popular family sitcom 'Raven's Home,' starring and executive produced by multitalented Raven-Symoné. Alison Taylor ('Just Jordan') will join the fourth season creative team as executive producer, alongside Raven-Symoné and executive producer and showrunner Warren Hutcherson ('Reed Between the Lines,' 'The Bernie Mac Show'). Production on season four will commence later this year.

For the week ending Friday, Oct. 11, in live plus 3-day lift, THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT beat its closest competition (“The Tonight Show”) in viewers (3.58m versus 1.93m, +85%) for the third consecutive week in the new 2019-2020 season. THE LATE SHOW also beat its closest competition (again, “The Tonight Show”) in both adults 25-54 (0.7 versus 0.6) and adults 18-49 (0.5 versus 0.4). THE LATE SHOW and “The Tonight Show” ran original episodes Monday through Thursday of last week, with Friday encores.

Luke Lalonde, the acclaimed lead singer of indie-rock mainstays, Born Ruffians announces his forthcoming sophomore solo album The Perpetual Optimist will arrive November 22 via Paper Bag Records/Warp Publishing. Lalonde released the title-track single today, sharing an endearing video. In his time with the Ruffians and over five full-length records, Lalonde has become known as a prolific solo writer in his own right, collaborating with a variety of artists across several genres, including Caribou. In 2012, he released his debut solo effort, Rhythymnals, which found Lalonde exploring a more electronic space, moving from his signature New Wave howl to a more echoey, crooning pure-pop sensibility. The release was met with notable acclaim, with critics drawing attention to the impressive breadth of Lalonde's creative capacity.
