Netflix has released the trailer for season three of Atypical, a coming of age story that follows Sam (played by Keir Gilchrist), a 19-year-old on the autism spectrum as he searches for love and independence. While Sam is on his funny and emotional journey of self-discovery, the rest of his family must grapple with change in their own lives as they all struggle with the ongoing central theme of the series: what does it really mean to be normal?

Woodsist is pleased to announce its new signing Hurt Valley, the enigmatic folk-pop project of California songwriter Brian Collins; the label will release Hurt Valley's debut album Glacial Pace on December 6. Collins' life has taken him from playing in punk bands as a teenager in the DC area to his current role as the head of the science department at a Hollywood high school. He wrote the sun-drenched songs of Glacial Pace after a trip to Death Valley - coming across a clearing full of burnt out, vandalized vehicle carcasses inspired him to write about desolation and the things we leave behind.

The Country Music Association visited Albuquerque Tuesday, Oct. 15 with songwriters Lauren Alaina, Erin Enderlin, Sierra Hull and Luke Laird. While in Albuquerque, the group met with students and teachers from Albuquerque High School as part of U.S. Bank's Community Possible giving and engagement platform and its Places to Play partnership with the CMA Foundation, followed by a CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at KiMo Theatre.

The GRAMMY Museum® is pleased to announce Heather Moore of Arcadia High School in Arcadia, California, as the recipient of the 2019 Jane Ortner Education Award. The award honors K-12 academic teachers who use music in the classroom as a powerful educational tool. Moore will receive an honorarium and will be recognized later this year at a special GRAMMY Museum event in Los Angeles. Arcadia High School will also receive a grant.

Just as election season is heating up in America, British folk trio The Young'uns are set to return to the U.S. and bring their unique brand of social commentary to venues in the Pacific Northwest following their August debut U.S. tour.  Named 'Best Group' at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards two years in a row (2015 and 2016), they introduced their trademark harmonies, honesty and humour to American audiences during a series of east coast shows that included their debut appearance at the annual Philadelphia Folk Festival.  Their tour continues with shows in Washington State and northwest Canada beginning October 24.

HGTV has raised the stakes for its female-led, super-charged home reno competition series Rock the Block, premiering Monday, Oct. 21, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The grand prize winner of the competition still gets bragging rights and a street named after her, but now each weekly challenge winner will score a showcase episode of her own HGTV series immediately following the one hour airing of Rock the Block.
