We couldn't very well end our 10th season without celebrating pride! And what better way to celebrate than with an Open Mic having friends new and old come wave their freak flags high!

Viva La Vie Boheme! Well viva Bohemia Realty Group at any rate. Broadway Sessions recently put the spotlight on the agents of Bohemia Realty, all amazing actors and singers, with the greatest side hustle I the world!

It was a KILLER night at Broadway Sessions recently as the cast of the hit revival of Sweeney Todd sailed into Broadway Sessions. Cast members performed re-imagined versions of Sondheim classics and broke down the Sweeney plot in our "Shlopppy Plot Shynopsis". Enjoy highlights from these amazing voices here.

The 'Big Apple' became the 'Big Orange' recently as the 2018 Musical Theatre class from top-rated Syracuse University came to town. We invited the 2018 grads to take the stage and bask in their transition from students of the theatre to PROFESSIONAL ACTORS! Enjoy performances from the wildly talented graduates alongside the gorgeous Catherine Charlebois and mega talented Olivia Gjurich.

The 'Notes of Florida State University brought the southern heat to Broadway Sessions recently. He extremely talented 2019 graduating class performed alongside dynamic alumni Tanisha Moore (Flashdance) and Avenue Q's Grace Choi. Enjoy highlights here.

You may not know this, but our friendly neighborhood Broadway buddy, Ben Cameron, grew up in the Mormon church, just miles away from Brigham Young University. This makes him no stranger to the legendary Music/Dance/Theatre program that has been responsible for a number of our favorite stars including, but not limited to Oyoyo Joy Bonner (Book of Mormon), Delaney Westfall (Sweeney Todd), Megan Masako Haley (Wicked), Michael Milkanin (Kinky Boots), and Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses Green Gold). So obviously we invited them to sing us a tune as we welcomed phenomenal 2018 graduating class of BYU to NYC! Check out these video clips from the unforgettable night!

Let's hear it for he boys! And boy did we hear 'em.  We recently welcomed some of Broadway's most talented dudes to Broadway Sessions for a night full of testosterone and, well, um… showtimes. Enjoy highlights from performances by Darren Ritchie (Wonderland), Benny Elledge (Waitress), Melvin Tunstall (Beautiful) and Corey Mach (Kinky Boots, Godspell)! We also welcomed back past Rising Stars Jose Plaza, Melanie Sierra, Jessica Lieberman and Kate Corsaro.

Baldwin Wallace has a long and storied history of producing tremendous theatrical talents. We very proud of our relationship with BW and were thrilled to welcome a new batch of mega stars to Broadway Sessions recently.  Helping to welcome the grads were BW alumni and Broadway scene stealers  Jai'Len Josey (Spongebob), Zach Adkins (Anastasia) and John Kramer (Book of Mormon). We also enjoyed special performance by Christopher Timson and The Beechman's own Michael Kirk Lane.

Someone once said, "Don't Be Cruel, to a Heart That's True"… but it's not ALWAYS a good idea to repress your cruel intentions. Especially if your intention is to create a completely madcap music theatre 90's pop/rock concert retelling of the 90's cult classic Cruel Intentions. Well, thank the musical theatre gods someone saw fit to do just that.

As they say in Damn Yankees- " You gotta have heart, miles and miles and miles of heart". Or did they mean to say "You gotta have HARTT"? Either way, we had both at Broadway Sessions recently as we welcomed the extremely talented 2018 MT grads from The HARTT School alongside talented HARTT alumni. Enjoy performances by Kelly McIntyre, Spencer S. Lawson, Holly Holcomb and more.

ROLE TIDE! That's University of Alabama's war cry. What does it mean? Well, I'm not exactly sue, but it might as well mean "Roll out the talent"! We learned that much at Broadway Sessions recently as we welcomed the '18 MT grads and alumni from "Bama". Enjoy highlights from this magical musical night here.

The Bears from Missouri State University roared loud and proud at Broadway Sessions recently. 2018 Musical Theatre grads were joined by talented alumni for an unforgettable night of music and merriment. Enjoy highlights from performances by Dear Evan Hansen's Nicole Van Giesen, Hamilton's Antuan Raimone and Broadway veteran and Broadway Dolls founder Hollie Howard (Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Annie Get Your Gun). 

Broadway Sessions recently celebrated the music of award winning composing team Thomson and Desmon. Jeffrey Thomson and Jeremy Desmon are responsible for musicals One Hit Wonder, The Oliver Experiment, Pump Up the Volume and the highly anticipated Nancy Drew. Wonderful writers tend to have some wonderful friends who tend to want to get their hands on their music! And that's a very good thing.

Well my friends, Jersey Boys is back on the boards at New World Stages and all is right with the world. We were fortunate enough to welcome the stars of Jersey Boys to Broadway Sessions recently, and "Oh What a Night" it was. Enjoy highlights from performances by Aaron DeJesus (Frankie Valli), Cory Jeacoma (Bob Gaudio) and Skye Scott (Bob Crewe). Plus our teenage "Rising Stars"- Jack D'Angelo and Avery Carlson.

Once a month Broadway Sessions open the mic and the stage up to fabulous performers from all walks of life. Last month we were delighted to welcome vocalists from England, Scotland, Argentina and Uruguay as well as some of the best undiscovered singers in NYC. As you know, February is Black History Month. We here at Broadway Sessions wanted to take a moment to reflect on the massive impact of African American legacy on Broadway and beyond. We rallied an incredible roster of some of Broadway's most fantastic voices to speak and sing on the subject. The result was moving and hilarious and powerful and poignant. And the singing? Well, let's just say y'all aren't ready for this!

We find all kinds of families when working in the theatre. Each new cast is a family. Well, it was my pleasure to welcome some of my very own family, my WAMFAM, to Broadway Sessions recently. Of course, I mean performers from the roster at Whole Artist Management- where I'm not just a spokesperson, I'm a client. Enjoy these highlights from stars of Elf, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Rocky, Matilda, Jerry Springer the Opera, After Glow, Jersey Boys and so much more! WAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM, indeed!

Bikini Bottom came to The Laurie Beechman Theatre recently as we welcomed the colorful cast of Spongebob Squarepants for our 2018 season kick off. The results were as delicious and hilarious as any pineapple under the sea. Enjoy these performances by Kelvin Moon Loh, Gaelen Gilliland, Abby C. Few new musicals have been quite so critically well received as The Band's Visit. It was with the same enthusiasm and love that we recently welcomed the cast of The Band's Visit to Broadway Sessions. Enjoy these intimate performances from Sharone Sayegh, Madison Micucci, Pomme Koch, Kristen SIeh, Ahmad Maksoud, Jonathan Raviv, Rachel Prather, Kirsten SIeh and more. Also enjoy performances by our "Rising Stars" Kyle Branzel and Melanie Sierra. 

HAPPY HOLIDAYS from all of us at Broadway Sessions! We recently celebrated the season with our annual All Star Holiday Show. Broadway Sessions guests returned to share their favorite holiday tunes.
