The bells will toll during Tuacahn Amphitheatre's 2016 summer season when THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME returns to the stage.

Earlier this summer, composer Alan Menken and lyricist Stephen Schwartz revealed the musical would be licensed for amateur regional productions. The outdoor Utah show will be the first since 'HUNCHBACK' took the stage at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, starring Michael Arden, Patrick Page, Ciara Renée and Andrew Samonsky.

Scott Anderson, Tuacahn Artistic Director, notes: "This is the first time in a few seasons we have not had a Disney production. Though 'HUNCHBACK' uses the popular Disney score, it is not a Disney Theatrical production -- this musical follows the storyline of Hugo's classic novel much more closely."

Inspired by the classic Victor Hugo novel, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME is an intimate, dramatic retelling of the famous love story on a grand scale, with a lush, emotionally rich score by Menken (ALADDIN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), with lyrics by Schwartz (WICKED, PIPPIN).

The American Premiere Studio Cast Recording of of 'HUNCHBACK' was recorded at the historic Avatar Studios from September 28-30. The album will be released by Ghostlight Records in January 2016. Click here for more information.

No word yet on casting or official dates for the Tuacahn production, but BWW will keep you posted when we learn more!
