GEORGES DUBOEUF BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU 2018 Debuts on 11/15

The countdown is on! Beaujolais Day, on November 15, is only weeks away. It is an annual event that happens on the third Thursday of the month when Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2018, the fresh and fruity wine made from Gamay grapes, makes its debut for wine lovers around the world. Beaujolais Nouveau is easy to pair with food making it a top choice for holiday meals and entertaining.

The weather in the Beaujolais region of France has been ideal and the harvest has been considered one of the best in years with healthy, robust vines, and perfect maturity up to the time of picking. These excellent conditions have created great enthusiasm for the release of Beaujolais Nouveau 2018.

Broadwayworld.com had the opportunity to tour the Beaujolais in July and learn about the region's renowned wines. It is located just a few hours drive time north of the city of Lyon and is easily accessed by train. The area is an outstanding destination for people who wish to visit beautiful vineyards and wineries, stroll the cobbled lanes of the Gold Stone village of Oingt or dine in fine restaurants like Michelin starred Chateau de Bagnois. For those who wish to take in stunning views of the area, you can hike to the top of Rock of Solutré or embark on a helicopter tour. A popular attraction in Beaujolais is Le Hameau Duboeuf, the home of Duboeuf wines and an ideal destination for families. Located in the heart of Beaujolais, Le Hameau Duboeuf has a hotel, restaurants, gorgeous grounds, a lovely shop, and a fascinating museum that chronicles the history and art of winemaking.

One of the highlights of our visit to Beaujolais was the opportunity to meet Georges Duboeuf and his son Franck to enjoy a grand tasting of over twenty-five of their fine wines. Some of the exquisite wines we tasted included Brouilly Rouge 2017 Chateau de Nervers; Cote de Brouilly 2017 Domaine du Riaz; Julianas 2017 Chateau des Capitans; Morgon 2017 Jean Ernest Descombes; and Pouilly Fuisse Blanc 2017 Domaine du Bois Rosier. More than just top wines, Les Vins Georges Duboeuf showcases and supports the region's winemakers that are passionate about their craft and time-honored traditions. The experience of the Duboeuf family is impressive as they have been making wines for centuries in the Beaujolais region.
