Cosima von Bonin: Who's Exploiting Who in the Deep Sea?

Exhibition tour to Oakville Galleries, Ontario

March 26 - May 28, 2017

Opening Reception March 26, 3:30 pm - 5:00pm

SculptureCenter is pleased to announce Oakville Galleries' presentation of Cosima von Bonin: Who's Exploiting Who in the Deep Sea?, co-curated by SculptureCenter Curator Ruba Katrib and Glasgow International Director Sarah McCrory. The exhibition is organized by Glasgow International and SculptureCenter, New York.

Bringing together a selection of works made over the past ten years, Who's Exploiting Who in the Deep Sea? explores Cosima von Bonin's ongoing fascination with the ocean, a theme that is commonly evoked in her works but rarely made explicit. This is von Bonin's first solo museum exhibition in Canada.

Diviniti, Mary Messhausen, produzentin and Simone Junker will perform throughout the opening on March 26th. Cosima von Bonin: Who's Exploiting Who in the Deep Sea? was exhibited at SculptureCenter in 2016 and opened with performances by Mary Messhausen, Oliver Husain, produzentin and Simone Junker.
