BRANSON BOOM YEARS Exhibit Now Open at Centennial Museum

A new exhibition, the "Branson Boom Years", is now open at the Branson Centennial Museum, located in Historic Downtown Branson. The "Branson Boom Years" exhibition, sponsored by Branson Update Magazine, is a tribute to Branson's amazing live show industry. The exhibit focuses on the era of 1991 through today.

More than a thousand live-action show and attraction photos and documents are used in the exhibit to tell the story of the unprecedented growth of the "Live Music Show Capital of the World". Videos include the 60 Minutessegment from 1991, which is credited with bringing national attention to Branson and igniting the Branson Boom. Branson stars from the day talk about the town and its future. There are also samples of the local cooperative marketing efforts by early entrepreneurs that helped fuel the Branson Boom.

Brand new photographic art, never seen before, will be introduced. A portion of the proceeds from photo sales will go to benefit Ozark Mountain Shindig, a cooperative spring marketing program.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. All are invited to attend and see the new exhibit. To accommodate the schedules of theater employees, there will also be an "OPEN HOUSE" for Branson theater performers and theater staff on Sunday, October 20, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, from now thru Dec. 20, 2013. The "Branson Boom Years" exhibition at the Branson Centennial Museum is located in Historic Downtown Branson at 101 S. Veterans Blvd, (at the corner of Bus. Hwy. 65 and W. Hwy. 76 which is the east end of the red route).
