Face Off Unlimited, creators of the underground hit Japanese game show has announced that beginning tonight, August 1st, 2013, BATSU! will rock the East Village Monday and Thursday nights! New York City's live Japanese game show has become an underground sensation.
In Japan, batsu means "punishment" and the batsu-game is a form of comedy competition where the losers are forced to endure hilarious and outrageous penalties. Face Off Unlimited has blended this wildly popular piece of Japanese culture with their own hysterical style of improv comedy to create BATSU! Hosted by former Japanese child star Brian "Bu-Chan" Walters, with the help of the beautiful, yet merciless, Noriko Sato, BATSU! is full contact comedy! Four warriors compete in comedic challenges to avoid electric shocks, paintball guns, a giant egg-smashing chicken, and many more hilarious and jaw-dropping punishments! The performers of BATSU! are members of acclaimed comedy group Face Off Unlimited (which the New York Times has called "Very Funny!") and regularly appear on television, radio, and Broadway.Videos
