Rent184.jpg" vspace="10" width="184"/>May 24th will mark Frenchie Davis' last performance in Rent, according to the performer's blog.

"After 4 wonderful years, I am sad (and a little happy) to announce that I will be leaving Rent this spring...I want to take this chance to say thank you to all of the fans and people that came out to support during my time in the show...I also would like to offer my sincerest thanks to the producers of the show for allowing me the opportunity to contribute to such a wonderful piece of theatre history....i know that i will look back at these times as some of the best of my life...thank you so much!," she wrote.

Davis is in the ensemble of Rent, and also performs as the "Seasons of Love" soloist.  She was featured on season 2 of "American Idol, and also starred as Effie in a West Coast tour of Dreamgirls.

Rent, featuring book, music and lyrics by the late Jonathan Larson, has played almost 11 years at the Nederlander Theatre, where it opened on April 29th, 1996.  A rock musical adaptation of Puccini's La Boheme, the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical also currently stars Christopher J. Hanke, Tim Howar, Justin Johnston, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Troy Horne, Nicolette Hart, Tonya Dixon, and D'Monroe.
