The award-winning teens of the Riverdale Rising Stars are proud to present Jonathan Larson's groundbreaking rock musical RENT: SCHOOL EDITION for eight performances only - April 5 - April 13, 2014. The off-Broadway production of Rent closed last night, September 9, at New World Stages. The production played 32 previews and 450 performances. RENT, written by Jonathan Larson, will be performed at the Hollywood Bowl for three performances only, Friday and Saturday August 6 and 7 at 8:30pm, and Sunday August 8 at 7:30pm. Neil Patrick Harris will direct the production, with musical direction by Tim Weil and choreography by Jamal Sims. The cast includes Skylar Astin, Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Telly Leung, Collins Pennie, Nicole Scherzinger, Tracie Thoms, and Aaron Tveit.

New productions of Jonathan Larson's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical RENT are about to open in Manila, the San Francisco East Bay and New Jersey. And all these productions happen to feature Filipino and Filipino-American actors in their roster of young and hip cast members.

Viva La Vie Boheme in a dynamic production of RENT at The Ringwald Theatre! Who Wants Cake? is thrilled to open their 2009/2010 season with the smash hit musical, RENT created by Jonathan Larson. Beginning Friday, August 21st and playing for a six week engagement ending on Monday, September 28th, RENT will play Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights at 8PM with Sunday matinees at 3PM.

On Sunday September 7, 2008 the curtain came down on Broadway for the final performance of the landmark musical Rent. After the curtain came down, the party started at Chelsea Piers on Manhattan's West Side, the celebration attracted a starry crowd who partied into the night.

Tonight, Sunday September 7, 2008 Rent will close at the Nederlander Theatre after the evening performance after playing 5,124 performances and 16 previews. On Friday, September 5th, in celebration of Rent and the enduring memory of Jonathan Larson, Kathy 'Life' Kirkpatrick, owner of East Village's fabled Life Café, a favorite hangout of Larson and an important location featured in the musical itself, unveiled a special dedicated bench in his name.
