On October 12, Music for Autism's Junior Board hosted a crowd of over 100 young professionals, friends and loved ones at District CoWork for a vibrant and musical evening full of food, drinks, and phenomenal performances. Thanks to their fabulous and talented musician friends, guests were treated to Broadway caliber musical theater while they sipped on beverages courtesy of Given Liquor and Paralelo Vineyards. BWW Review: It Must Be Halloween When WICKED LIT Is Back At Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery!

It would not be the Halloween Season in L.A. without WICKED LIT, presented by Unbound Productions Executive Director Jonathan Josephson, Artistic Director Paul Millet, and Producing Artistic Director Jeff G. Rack. The company's 7th annual immersive theatre event takes place inside and on the grounds at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena, California, running from October 2-November 14, 2015. The mission of Unbound Production is to re-imagine timeless stories for new audiences by creating immersive, theatrical adaptations of literature. And, I think, to put the fright back into Halloween! Cole Porters Musical KISS ME KATE gewann 1949, im Jahr nach der Urauffuhrung, allein funf Tony Awards. Mitreißender Swing, unvergessene Evergreens, quirlige Tanzszenen und spritzige Texte garantieren nach uber eintausend Broadway-Auffuhrungen bis heute den Erfolg. Zumal Porter im Ehepaar Spewack kongeniale Partner hatte, deren Textbuch mit einer großen Portion Ironie einen selbstkritischen Blick auf allerlei absurde Theaterklischees wirft. In dem Maße, wie sich Buhnenfiktion und reales Geschehen annahern, gewinnt das Stuck an Situationskomik und ist am Ende viel mehr als eine Liebesgeschichte. Das Staatstheater Kassel bring diesen Musicalklassiker in dieser Spielzeit im Opernhaus auf die Buhne. Die Premiere fand am vergangenen Samstag statt und wurde mit großem Beifall gefeiert. Und auch Kritiker zeigten sich angetan. (more...)

The pre-Broadway World Premiere of Gotta Dance begins this winter at Broadway In Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 W Monroe St, Chicago). Gotta Dance begins performances on December 13, 2015 and runs through January 10, 2016.  A massive hit on Broadway, playing over 1,500 hysterical performances seen by more than two million people, Monty Python's SPAMALOT continues Theatre at the Center's exceptional 25th Anniversary Season. The Monty Python-inspired farce of the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, features a book and lyrics by Eric Idle and a fresh new score created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. The tale of King Arthur and his band of raunchy knights won the Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical, and Best Direction of a Musical, as well as the Grammy Award in 2006 for Best Musical Show Album. Jeff Award-winning Director David Perkovich and Jeff Award-winning Choreographer Linda Fortunato join artistic forces to put their creative spin on the irreverent musical parody, running September 17th through October 18th, with a press opening on Sunday, September 20th at 7 p.m. at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster, IN.
