The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in Broadway THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME
Paramount Theatre
7/25-7/30/2017
THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME transferred to London's West End, following a sold-out run at the National's Cottesloe Theatre in 2012. The production received seven 2013 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play. Fifteen-year old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor's dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever. The production is designed by three-time Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie, with lighting by Tony Award-winner Paule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, movement by Scott Graham and Olivier Award-winner Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph.

Statements After An Arrest Under the Immorality Act in Broadway STATEMENTS AFTER AN ARREST UNDER THE IMMORALITY ACT
Theater Schmeater
7/21-8/12/2017
Theater Schmeater is proud to announce Statements After an Arrest Under the Immorality Act by Athol Fugard, running Thursday- Friday, July 21st through August 12th. A devastating love story about an interracial couple hiding their love in South Africa during the heights of apartheid. Errol Philander, a black African and local principal, has been sneaking into the library at night for secret assignations with a white librarian, Frieda Joubert. We see them one night as they share their hopes and fears until they are discovered by police; Their love is illegal under apartheid and they are arrested. Fugard writes the second half of the play as a surreal poem - unwrapping the psychological effects of institutional racism and exposing the characters innermost fears. Statements… was written in 1972 by Athol Fugard based on pictures he saw in the newspaper of an interracial couple being arrested for “immorality.” He created a play that is specific in its setting but universal in its themes of love and racism. This play shows us how destructive hatred and ignorance can go. Beautiful, poetic and tragic this show is a great continuation of Theater Schmeater’s season celebrating and telling the stories of outcasts. Note: This performance has full frontal nudity, loving sexuality and fear of intimacy.

The Comedy of Errors in Broadway THE COMEDY OF ERRORS
GreenStage
7/14-8/19/2017
In an effort to make Make Ephesus Great Again, Duke Solinus proclaims that any Syracusan found in Ephesus will be put to death. Even the aging Aegeon’s long, sad tale can not move the Duke to pity. Years ago, Aegeon was separated from his wife during a shipwreck, right after she gave birth to twin sons. Both parents ended up with one son, and one of a set of low-born twins purchased to serve as the attendants to the sons. Aegeon has now been separated from his remaining son and servant, when the grown boy set off to find his long lost brother. Very unfair!
