What prompted you to bring it to Edinburgh?
We have been thinking and talking about getting a show to Edinburgh for some time, and it was often something that audience members or supporters would suggest, but until now it had never felt like the right time, or, more importantly the right show. But when we finished making This really is too much, we all felt that this was the one to take to Edinburgh; it's more edgy and political than our previous work, and we felt that if there was anywhere we were going to get it out there to the masses, it was the fringe. It was a bit of a scary thought, as we are total Edinburgh newbies, but being offered the Underbelly Untapped programme gave us the confidence we needed to take the plunge!
What do you feel sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
It's a mad mixture of disciplines: we are all trained dancers but the work we make doesn't sit snugly in the contemporary dance category. Or theatre for that matter. We make work which straddles the two, with a lot of comedy and absurdist images to boot. Its neither a play nor a dance - its what we like to call "post-intellectual-pseudo-spiritual-feminist-comedy-dance" for the modern day era. So if that intrigues you, come along and see for yourself!*

* Also of course the show is an unabashed strike at The Patriarchy. So all those fellow feminists wishing to join the struggle have a moral duty to come along in support of taking down The Patriarchy. We encourage said feminists to also bring all their non-feminist friends because they will have a nice time too.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?
At risk of sounding like a walking cliche - everyone! In other words: anyone interested in dance, theatre, laughing, crying, feminism, gender, identity, smashing the system, ticking the boxes, beauty pageants, job interview tips, political speeches, salad, moisturiser, water, turtle necks, disco or Barry White. Which we believe pretty much covers all of humanity in some shape or form.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
We're definitely keen to see the other Underbelly Untapped artists: Prom Kween by Áine Flanagan and Quarter Life Crisis by Yolanda Mercy, although unfortunately Yolanda's piece clashes with ours so we'll have to go on our day off. We're also big fans of comedy so will probably go and see some comedians while we're in the home of stand up! Otherwise our current plan is just to follow word of mouth recommendations and see what happens when we get there!
