BWW speaks to Mike and Chris of The Naked Magicians ahead of their run at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Tell us a bit about The Naked Magicians...

To put it simply, The Naked Magicians is the world's funniest and naughtiest magic show. When people come to the show, they should expect to be part of a hilarious, high-energy, non-stop party atmosphere unlike any magic show on Earth. It's an orgy of incredible magic, non-stop laughs, and full frontal nudity. Come see what we're packing from downunder!

Have you always performed your magic without clothing?

Both Christopher and myself were full-time successful "clothed" magicians for over 8 years each before we decided to create something different to attract an audience that otherwise wouldn't normally attend a magic show. We have a saying that "Good magicians don't need sleeves, and great magicians don't need pants!" so we literally strip away those classic magic stereotypes like capes, tophats and clothes to deliver the perfect girls' night out!

How has audience response been so far?

We've performed the show in over 100 cities across 5 countries and the crowd response is unlike anything I've ever witnessed or been a part of - the audience reactions are a mixture of awe, surprise, amazement, and intense delight! We often receive feedback from lucky husbands whose wives attend the show and return home a little "happier" than normal!

Who would you recommend comes to see The Naked Magicians?

This really is the perfect girls night out. However, we've discovered that everyone has that naughty, cheeky side to their personality that we like to embrace in The Naked Magicians. So if you're over 18 and love magic, comedy, or naked Australians, then the show has something for you!

..and who would you suggest definitely doesn't come to see The Naked Magicians?

If you want to see cheesy card tricks performed by classic magicians; or if you're easily offended by adult themes, course language, or buff Aussie men getting naked, then The Naked Magicians is definitely not for you!

Timings and ticket information for The Naked Magicians are available on the edfringe website.
