Manila, Philippines, May 29, 2013--Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, Hi-Definition Radio Inc., and Concertus Manila, the team that brought to Manila hit Broadway musicals "The Phantom of the Opera," "Mamma Mia!," and "Cats," have decided to cancel the limited run of 22 performances of "Dirty Dancing," one of the fastest selling shows in London's West End, which was supposed to begin on Thursday, July 4 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

According to an official statement sent to BroadwayWorld, the producers would like to "thank all the ticket buyers and sponsors for supporting 'Dirty Dancing.' However, due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, the 'Dirty Dancing' tour will no longer be coming to Manila.

"Ticket buyers are entitled to a full refund by calling TicketWorld at (632) 891-9999 or emailing tickets@ticketworld.com.ph. Ticket buyers will also be provided an option to convert their tickets to our next production."

"Dirty Dancing" onstage, based on the cult movie from the 1980s, which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, features a string of hit songs including "Hungry Eyes," "Hey Baby," "Do You Love Me," and "(I've Had) the Time of My Life."

"Dirty Dancing" onstage, currently playing at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, stars Bryony Whitfield, Gareth Bailey, and Mila de Biaggi.
