Alt singer-songwriter Eyedress releases his latest single, “Mrs. Valentine,” out now via RCA Records.  The first release from Eyedress' upcoming mixtape, set for release this year, “Mrs. Valentine” is an ‘80s-influenced love song apt for the holiday, set to synth and percussion-driven new wave production. 

Sketch comedy team GIMLICK is back at Brooklyn Comedy Collective in Williamsburg. The trio specializes in absurd comedy with plenty of sight gags and clever, wacky jokes. I spoke with Gimlick's members (Kate Armstrong, Irene Rising, and Marisa Caruso) about their upcoming show this Sunday, February 4th, at BCC.

“silence STArEs me down” sees Indonesian powerhouse Rich Brian team up with Latin indie pop multi-instrumentalist & producer Cuco, an unexpected but brilliant pairing. The result is a uniquely mesmerizing track, with its airy rhythm and mellow instrumental seamlessly complementing both Cuco's laid-back vocals and Brian's heavy-hitting bars.

Out now via 88rising and RCA Records, “SLOPES” is another hip-hop-heavy gem from 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE's anticipated debut project, set for release this year. Pairing 88rising artist Warren Hue with Migos member and trap veteran Offset, “SLOPES'' is a confident and braggadocious track, with Hue and Offset passing triplet flows.

“LiGhT rAiLs” is a reunion for Rich Brian and Rick Ross, who previously collaborated on “Run It” alongside DJ Snake for the soundtrack of Marvel Studios' film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. On the new track, they continue to build rapport exchanging fun, hard-hitting bars set to an infectious high-pitched vocal loop.

“rUN tHE FaDE” features Eyedress' lo-fi production and shoegaze influences. The accompanying music video, directed by Bee Eyes, features cameos from Eyedress, his wife Elvia and Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson). The single follows “MiNt cHoCoLaTe” featuring BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn, and Conway The Machine last month.

THE PEOPLE’S JOKER, a queer coming-of-age parody, has been picked up by Altered Innocence for North America. Drew directed, edited, co-wrote, and stars in the queer coming-of-age superhero world parody that reimagines the Joker's origin, with IFC Center in NYC opening the film on April 5th and additional markets and engagements to be announced.
