After enjoying its World Premiere engagement earlier this spring at the Playroom Theater, A Class Act, the inaugural and relevant new play by attorney and playwright Norman Shabel, will now hold court at New World Stages  - Stage 5(340 West 50th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) for a summer run.  Produced by Eric Krebs, performances will begin on Saturday, July 9 at 8pm and continue through Sunday, September 4. Continuing Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season of professional theatre is THIRTY DAY MOURNING PERIOD. Directed by Mark Shanahan, THIRTY DAY MOURNING PERIOD will be performed as a staged reading and feature a post-show discussion with the playwright, Hank Greene. The event will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls), in the recently renovated Cabaret space on July 6th & 7th at 7:30pm. Written by the EMMY-nominated Executive Producer for The Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, 'Hysterical' was chosen out of nearly 100 full-length plays as T. George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 five-play season. George Street's 43rd season begins in October and will feature five extraordinary productions, including: Mama's Boy, a chilling glimpse into the home life of Lee Harvey Oswald; American Son, a Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award-winner about the racial divide; Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, a comedic take on family, faith and legacy; and Daddy Long Legs, a romantic musical based on a classic novel.
