BBC Concert Orchestra with <a href=Keith Lockhart in Broadway" border="0" bheight="100" width="100" align="right"> BBC CONCERT ORCHESTRA WITH Keith Lockhart
Mesa Arts Center, Ikeda Theater
Versatility is the BBC Concert Orchestra's hallmark. The band thinks nothing of starting a week with a concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain at RAF Northolt, then a tribute to Oliver! composer Lionel Bart fronted by Barbara Windsor at the Hackney Empire, and finishing with a sell-out Queen Elizabeth Hall gig of avant-garde electronica by composers ranging from Goldfrapp's Will Gregory, Andrew Poppy and Graham Fitkin to Bernard Herrmann on such outre instruments as rewired keyboards, theremins, ondes martenots and Moog synthesizers. In August 2010, Keith Lockhart was appointed Principal Conductor and Johannes Wildner its Principal Guest Conductor, complementing Conductor Laureate Barry Wordsworth. Keith Lockhart is also conductor of the Boston Pops and serves as the artistic director of the Brevard Music Center Summer Institute.

The Man With the Pointed Toes in Broadway THE MAN WITH THE POINTED TOES
Hale Centre Theatre
Our most popular show ever, continually requested by our discerning audience, The Man With the Pointed Toes is back for the fifth time. Side-splitting humor abounds in this rootin', tootin' rollicking western comedy. Come to the Snake Eyes Ranch in 1960s Texas where the owner finds himself "richer than he oughta be" after finding oil on the spread he won in a poker game. He falls for a gold-digging gal from New York but has no education or, worse yet, social skills. He hires a tutor because he and the ranch hands need to be "coached in culture" and quickly. Her efforts to teach the rough-and-tumble cowhands some manners will have you in stitches while you cheer as she wins the heart of the wealthy rancher.
