Shattered Globe to Stage THE GROWN-UP at Theater Wit, 4/9-5/23
(5/23/2015) - On the heels of its critically-acclaimed, sold-out production of The Rose Tattoo, Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to conclude its 2014-15 season with the Chicago premiere of Jordan Harrison's hilarious kick in the heart, THE GROWN-UP, directed by Krissy Vanderwarker, playing April 9 - May 23, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Shattered Globe will stage the second ever production of Harrison's new play, which debuted last year at Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival. The Hypocrites' ALL OUR TRAGIC to Play The Den Theatre, 6/20-8/9
(5/22/2015) - The Hypocrites will present a return engagement of its critically acclaimed world premiere ALL OUR TRAGIC, an unparalleled twelve-hour theatrical adaptation that combines all 32 surviving Greek tragedies into a single epic narrative. Adapted and directed by Artistic Director Sean Graney and featuring most of the original cast members, this contemporary festival of Dionysus returns June 20 - August 9, 2015 at The Hypocrites' new home, The Den Theatre Mainstage, 1329 N. (5/21/2015) - On the heels of hit comedy Barbecue Apocalypse, The Ruckus continues its 2014-15 season, dubbed the "season of catastrophe," with the world premiere of MATAWAN, Dan Caffrey's thrilling physical story of terror, coming of age, and the transformative power of total disaster. GRAND CONCOURSE Rounds Out Steppenwolf's 2014-15 Season, Starting 7/2
(5/21/2015) - Steppenwolf Theatre Company completes its 2014/15 Subscription Season with the Chicago premiere production of Grand Concourse, a play full of both humor and heart by Heidi Schreck and directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov. Grand Concourse begins previews July 2, 2015 (Opening night is July 12, 2015; Press performances are July 11 at 3pm and July 14 at 7:30pm) and runs through August 30, 2015 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).
Benevolent Theatre to Present KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN, 7/2-26
(5/21/2015) - Benevolent Theatre will present the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Terrence McNally, based on the novel by Manuel Puig, as the final production in its 2014/2015 season. The production will run July 2nd through July 26th at Trap Door Theatre in Bucktown. Kiss of the Spider Woman is directed by Benevolent Theatre Founding Member Jessica Harling, director of such previous Benevolent Theatre productions as Spoon River. The production features Parker Guidry as Molina, and Jessica Kingsdale as Aurora the Spider Woman.
Walkabout & Moon Fool to Present STORM, 6/18-28
(5/21/2015) - Chicago's Walkabout Theater Company joins forces with the international ensemble of Moon Fool to present the Chicago premiere of STORM, a fierce re-imagining of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, created and directed by Anna-Helena McLean and featuring actors from three continents. Barrel of Monkeys' Executive Director to Step Down
(5/21/2015) - Barrel of Monkeys' Board of Directors today announced that Amanda Farrar will be stepping down as the company's Executive Director at the end May, after serving nearly six years in the post. Longtime Barrel of Monkeys Company Member Gwen Tulin will serve as Interim Executive Director during the search for a new Executive Director.
The House Theatre of Chicago to Host GAME NIGHT WITH PETER SAGAL, 6/27

Don't Tell Me!, Saturday, June 27 8pm - 11pm at the new Cards Against Humanity Headquarters, at 1917 N. Elston Ave. Event tickets are $50 and include admission, unlimited game play, and plenty of beer.
