Angelina Jolie Hints She May Be Ready to Quit Acting
In an interview with the BBC, Angelina Jolie hinted that she may be ready to throw in the towel on her acting career following her next big project, a full length biopic on Cleopatra. The actress says she is ready to focus on her directing and humanitarian projects once the film is completed.
Speaking on the role of the famed Egyptian royal, the 37-year-old said, "She's [Cleopatra] complicated. It's complicated to get this one right. I think we're getting there. It's getting close. I imagine the preparation for it is going to be big," She went on to add, "It's one of those that you think maybe that's the one you put everything into and that's where you end it, that's where you finish - in a great way. What could you do beyond that one?"
Jolie currently serves as a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and campaigns throughout the world against sexual violence in conflict.
She can currently be seen on the big screen in Disney's Maleficent, which took the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office, taking in over $170 million worldwide.
