TODD CAREY Releases New Music Video for 'Nintendo'

Pop singer, songwriter and musician TODD CAREY has partnered with to exclusively debut the new music video for his single "Nintendo." Watch the video now here: "Nintendo," an infectious modern love song with throwback lyrics name checking Captain Crunch, Battleship, and shoes with pumps, marks the first single off CAREY's forthcoming full-length album FUTURE THROWBACK, out later this year on Blaster Records.

"I've been looking forward to this day for the longest time," says CAREY. "I'm so excited to finally be able to share my first ever music video with my fans--who are the best supporters out there--and Buzznet. I've gotten the most incredible feedback on this song and I truly hope you enjoy the video."

TODD set out to make a career-defining album with FUTURE THROWBACK. His quest spanned three years, tracking in four states, shelving three records and feverishly writing 70 songs. The outcome is a euphoric pop record that's playfully irreverent and brimming with sleek urban beats and swaggering pop hooks.

"Nintendo" is the invitation to the party. On it, TODD flows sugary rhymes and, with 1980's retro whimsy, gives shout-outs to Captain Crunch, Battleship and shoes with pumps. "We wanted to keep things sexy with the grooves and beats and fun with those throwback lyrics," notes CAREY. "Those references, mixed with the modern sensibility of the track, create a really cool modern/retro juxtaposition that lives throughout the record."

Aside from his music, TODD is also passionate about using his voice to make a positive difference in the world. He has joined the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's AFA Teens and AFA on Campus divisions to provide programming and resources for students impacted by, and interested in, Alzheimer's disease. "I was honored when the AFA asked me to help them spread the word to teens and college students about the awesome resources they are offering," TODD shares. "It's such an important cause and affects so many families. I'm happy to do anything that I can."

CAREY is also gearing up to hit the road for a few shows on the 'Off The Record' tour along with friends Tony Lucca, Honor By August and Matt Duke. The run kicks off with back-to-back shows at the Rockwood Music Hall in New York on March 22 & 23. They'll then stop in Philadelphia and Washington, DC markets before performing at the Off The Record Festival in Outer Banks, NC.
